Stay Safe with Regular Rigging Inspections
Reduce risk with affordable, expert theatrical rigging inspections to maintain venue and personnel safety
When ropes, amps, and hoisting equipment work, they create magic; when they don’t work, disaster can strike. Current standards recommend annual inspections of stage rigging and equipment. When was the last inspection in your theatre or auditorium? If it’s been a while, we can help.
Our Rigging Inspections are customized for all types of venues: from K-12 auditoriums to large performing arts centers, performed by certified technicians, and delivers a prioritized checklist to help you avoid preventable accidents.
Why Should You Get Rigging Inspections Regularly
Can you identify the tell-tale signs of worn, faulty, or malfunctioning equipment with a quick look? We can. Rope shavings, motor leaks, cracked arbors, and stressed purchase lines are just a few details we know to study to give you a complete, accurate evaluation of your equipment’s condition.
Regular rigging inspections provide important benefits:
- Safeguarding your personnel
- Protecting the investment in your equipment
- Minimizing costly equipment repairs
- Upholding the reputation of your venue
Equipment malfunctions and hazardous conditions are costly dangers looking for an accident. Let Texas Scenic help keep your site safe with yearly inspections.
What’s Included with Texas Scenic Company Rigging Inspections
Inspections by Texas Scenic Company are performed by ETCP Certified Riggers and are based upon a practiced understand of building and safety codes (IBC, NFPA, ANSI standards), and manufacturer’s specifications.
The findings of our Rigging Inspections are provided in a detailed report that includes a system overview, a list of worn or damaged equipment, notations of non-compliance, and recommendations for repair (or replacement).
If your theatre’s Rigging System lacks documentation, then a Rigging Inspection can be the basis for reintroducing record keeping. The Rigging Inspection Report is issued in a timely manner to the owner’s (or district’s) representative.
